The Pen Bay Creative Learning Center has supported the local community since 1990, serving children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old. The team is known for longevity and providing care in a fun and supportive environment. The Pen Bay Creative Learning Center is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher to join their team!
Summary
This position consists of 36 hours per week, day shifts. The core schedule is 4 days per week, no weekends!
Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in providing comprehensive, developmentally appropriate care and education for young children in cooperation with families, co-teachers, and administrators based on current standards of best practice in the field of early childcare and education.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Completion of foundational level early childhood trainings or college courses preferred.
- License/Certifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification preferred. Current community/caregiver level CPR Certification and First Aid Certification preferred or must complete within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: Teaching/caregiving in group childcare/preschool setting preferred; Experience with the Creative Curriculum and NAEYC Accreditation preferred.
