Assistant Teacher

About the role

We are seeking Assistant Teachers for full-time part-year positions at multiple locations in the Rochester area. The Empowerment Center in Rochester, MN is one of our sites.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the classroom environment and materials
• Prepare activities and contribute to curriculum plans
• Participate in daily program activities with children
• Support the teacher and classroom with other duties
• Direct small group time
• Manage a caseload of 4-5 children, including documentation and assessments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Minnesota driver's license
• Experience working with children preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and ability to build positive relationships with children and families

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a caseload of children
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices

Pay

• $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
