Assistant Teacher

About This Role

This Assistant Teacher opportunity at Muriel Moore Child Development Center serves Infant / Toddler (0–2), Preschool (3–5), Mixed / All Ages and requires a willingness to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, with employer support. To Provide a Safe and Supportive Learning Environment

• Collaborate with the teacher to develop lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of children, with a focus on enhancing individual learning outcomes.
• Implement educational activities and plans, adhering to established guidelines.
• Provide supervision as needed to designated groups or individual children, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
• Accurately record and document children's attendance.
• Engage with parents to foster a sense of community and encourage involvement in the educational process.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the teacher or supervisor.

Requirements

• Early Childhood experience
• High School/GED
• Pursuit of Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) is highly desirable for this role, as it demonstrates a commitment to professional development and expertise in early childhood education.
