About the Role

Under the direction of the Varsity Head Swimming Coach, this part-time position assists with a comprehensive high school swimming program. The primary focus is supporting the head coach in mentoring, recruiting, training, coaching, and coordinating aspects of the program, with the total development of the student-athlete as the highest priority.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in all aspects of the high school swimming program.
• Mentor and train student-athletes.
• Support recruiting efforts for the program.
• Coordinate program activities in alignment with CIF rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead young adults in an athletic setting.
• Working knowledge of CIF rules and regulations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Successful (recent) experience in a swimming program within the last five years (desirable).
• Experience working directly with collegiate and/or public school districts (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree (desirable).
• Experience as a certificated staff member (desirable).
