Assistant Surveyor

About the role

The Assistant Surveyor supports field surveying operations by assisting with construction layout, grade staking, data collection, and site measurements for civil construction projects. This position helps ensure accurate project alignment, elevations, and site control while working closely with surveyors and field crews.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction staking, layout, and grade verification.
• Collect field data using GPS and surveying equipment.
• Read and interpret plans, grades, and specifications.
• Set and maintain survey control points and benchmarks.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Basic understanding of surveying techniques and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
