Assistant Superintendent (Traveling)

Responsibilities

• Willing to travel nationwide
• Help administer project safety program
• Provides technical assistance on the project
• Interprets contract drawings and submittals
• Manage select self-perform operations and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality
• Aid in daily and weekly tasks such as daily reports, safety walks, quantity reports, and schedule updates
• Understand the project schedule and critical path
• Review and provide content for the short-term plan
• Participate in the quality program including meetings, inspections, and material verification
• Interface with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and building officials professionally
• Engage in business development by creating Raving Fans and initiating leads
• Attend monthly superintendent's meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and training sessions
• Develop skills to become a Superintendent
• Control and manage all aspects of a construction project

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering preferred
• 0-5 years of experience in the construction field or related field in a similar role
• Understanding of building plans and specifications
• Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement, including OSHA 30 certification
