Assistant Superintendent (Traveling)

Responsibilities

• Willing to travel nationwide
• Help administer project safety program
• Provides technical assistance on the project
• Interprets contract drawings and submittals
• Manages select self-perform operations and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality
• Aids Superintendent and Project Manager with daily and weekly tasks such as daily reports, safety walks, quantity reports, and schedule updates
• Understands the project schedule and critical path
• Reviews and provides content for the short-term plan
• Participates in the quality program including meetings, inspections, and material verification
• Interfaces professionally with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and building officials as required
• Engages in business development by creating Raving Fans on current projects and utilizing contacts for future projects
• Attends monthly superintendent's meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and periodic training sessions
• Develops skills to become a Superintendent and controls all aspects of a construction project

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering preferred
• 0-5 years of experience in the construction field or related field in a similar role
• Understanding of building plans and specifications
• Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement, including OSHA 30 certification
