ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT, EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

About the Role

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services leads, plans, organizes, directs, and manages the District's instructional programs for Preschool through 8th Grade.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement system-wide improvement strategies.
• Ensure the implementation of inclusive and culturally responsive curriculum and instructional programs.
• Ensure effective learning opportunities and growth experiences for all students.
• Oversee research, assessment, and program evaluation strategies.
• Provide professional development programs consistent with District goals, objectives, and improvement strategies.
• Lead, plan, organize, and manage the development and implementation of the District's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
• Provide direct input into the District's Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) budget plan, including the supplemental grant.
• Support the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of principals, Educational Services department certificated and classified staff members, and other leadership staff members.
• Prepare and assist in the development and implementation of Board policies, administrative regulations, and strategies for achieving the District's goals and objectives.
• Serve as a member of the Superintendent's Executive Cabinet.

Pay

$183,141.00 - $241,001.06 annually.
