About the role
rand* construction corporation seeks an Assistant Superintendent to join its dynamic Charlotte team. This position involves overseeing field staff, ensuring projects adhere to plans and specifications, supervising subcontractors, and managing project materials and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors
- Ensure material, tools/equipment, and staff requirements are available on-site
- Handle correspondence and forms such as daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports
- Monitor and direct work performed, schedule tasks according to project schedule
Requirements
- High school diploma, two years of college preferred
- Three years of experience in construction or real estate field
- Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, prints, schematics, and written instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred proficiency in Spanish
- Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs
