About the role
rand* construction corporation seeks dynamic Assistant Superintendents for its Atlanta team. This position involves overseeing field staff, ensuring projects adhere to plans and specifications, supervising subcontractors, and managing materials and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors
- Ensure material, tools/equipment, and staff requirements are in the proper place and on time
- Handle correspondence and forms such as daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports
- Monitor and direct work being performed, schedule tasks according to project schedule
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; two years of college preferred
- Three years of experience in construction or real estate field
- Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, prints, schematics, and written instructions
- Ability to understand and follow oral instructions in English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred proficiency in Spanish
- Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs
