About the role
The Assistant Superintendent oversees the coordination of Ryan employees, subcontractors, and project management on-site to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Administer project safety according to Ryan's safety policies and procedures, and develop a job-specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure they perform their work effectively.
- Understand and manage a CPM computer-generated schedule, tracking its progress.
- Work within the construction budget for their assigned portion of the project.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to direct project personnel.
- Assist with material procurement and maintain efficient, independent work habits.
- Enforce the site-specific Project Safety Manual and engage in Quality Control practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident tests.
- Complete union-required training programs or equivalent.
- Show problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
- Be able to remain calm under stress and make sound decisions.
- Must be able to verify employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
