Assistant Superintendent
About the Role
This is a fantastic training opportunity designed to prepare you for a future role as a Superintendent. In this role, you will assist in building high-quality residential homes under the guidance of a Superintendent or Project Manager. You will oversee the entire construction process, from groundbreaking to final walkthrough, ensuring every home meets our standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and directing trade partners to build high-quality homes.
- Oversee all construction phases, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance.
- Provide daily updates and compile milestone reports.
- Coordinate and monitor trade partners throughout the construction process.
- Approve invoices, ensure timely completion, and maintain cleanliness.
- Strive for high customer satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
- Conduct buyer orientations and ensure a smooth transition for new homeowners.
- Work with the sales team and participate in Community Teams.
- Maintain a safe work site and perform inspections.
- Ensure trade partners follow their Scope of Work and manage permits and inspections.
- Work with various inspectors throughout the homebuilding process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A vocational degree or certificate in Construction Management is a plus.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in homebuilding or a related real estate industry, or relevant construction management training.
- Valid driver's license required to drive/travel as needed within designated region between communities.
- Ability to work full-time with flexibility for overtime and the “On-Call” program when needed.
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to move about work location.
- Ability to drive/travel as needed.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs.
- Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
- Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs.
- Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions.
- This position is located in the field at a community within the division; location is to be determined.

Pay
KB Home offers a competitive base pay. The expected base pay range for this position is USD $33.65 - USD $41.46 per hour, paid semi-monthly. Other rewards may include bonuses or role-specific awards.
