Assistant Superintendent

Role And Responsibilities

• Communicate with project team members regarding critical path items, job schedule updates, and RFI’s.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and vendors on the job sites.
• Receive and store jobsite materials in an organized manner.
• Ensure and enforce subcontractors’ compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
• Attend regular walkthroughs with project team members and other departments.
• Verify subcontractors’ time spent for any extra work.
• Able to motivate and push subcontractors to adhere to project schedule.
• Work with project team members to schedule and attend inspections with the building department.
• Able to understand, read and comprehend blueprints and construction drawings.
• Needs to have all OSHA requirements to be a Superintendent in Jersey City.
• Able to understand and perform layout of construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors Degree is a plus but College not necessary if experience is diverse and immense.
• 7+ years’ experience as a superintendent minimum.
