Assistant Superintendent

About the role

Emmerson Construction, Inc., is a West Coast-based construction services company specializing in affordable housing. The Assistant Superintendent position is located at the Auburn Street project in Bakersfield, CA.

Responsibilities

• Aiding the Superintendent with construction site supervision
• Performing inspections and collecting safety meeting paperwork
• Overseeing safety operations and enforcing trade contracts
• Maintaining supplies and scheduling necessary equipment
• Managing site control and ensuring proper PPE usage
• Creating and enforcing red lines on plans
• Handling accident and safety violation reports
• Coordinating trades and preparing 6-week look-ahead schedules

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in multi-family construction
• Working knowledge of Type-V construction methods and materials
• OSHA 30 certification
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to read civil plans and scopes of work

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $31.25 to $36.06 per hour, with final compensation determined by education, training, experience, work location, and external market conditions. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, is also provided.
