Responsibilities
- Keep track of project progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and work quality standards.
- Supervise staff, provide work direction and constructive feedback.
- Aid the Project Superintendent with their duties.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
- Follow and help enforce established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
- Monitor and report daily progress; prepare and submit daily reports and photos.
- Cookordination subcontractors, trades, and on-site labor to meet sequence and schedule.
- Track work schedule, identify delays, and help implement corrective actions to maintain timeline.
- Verify and communicate scope of work, drawings, RFIs, and submittals to field crews.
- Cookordinate deliveries, material staging, and on-site storage; inspect incoming materials for compliance.
- Conduct quality control inspections; ensure work meets drawings, specs, and punch-list items.
- Assist with layout, staking, and field measurements; ensure accurate implementation of plans.
- Communicate with project management, engineers, inspectors, and owners; attend coordination meetings.
- Document and resolve field issues, incidents, and subcontractor disputes; maintain logs.
- Aid in manpower planning and productivity tracking; recommend resource adjustments.
- Support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities; prepare punch lists and closeout documentation.
- Maintain site housekeeping, traffic control, and protection of finished work.
- Help prepare schedule updates, cost tracking inputs, and submittal reviews.
- Train and mentor junior field staff and enforce company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least three (3) years of commercial construction experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or Crew Lead required.
- Knowledge and understanding of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
- Ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
- Have an in-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
- Must be self-driven, motivated and possess the ability to work effectively and independently.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Must be available to work overtime, possibly including weekends as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
