Assistant Stylist - Dog Groomer

About the role

As an Assistant Stylist, you’ll play a vital role in our busy grooming salon, delivering excellent pet care while supporting grooming appointments. You’ll develop hands-on skills in dog handling, bathing, prepping, and equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Support grooming appointments by assisting with dog handling, bathing, and prepping.
• Use grooming tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols.
• Work towards grooming targets under supervision.

Requirements

• Passionate about providing great service.
• Flexible to work across the week in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Comfortable working with dogs or in pet care, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of grooming techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move dogs.
