Job Summary
The Assistant Studio Manager (ASM) supports overall studio operations and customer experience, & customer satisfaction. This leadership role includes team supervisory responsibilities, administrative support, and contribution to studio and individual sales goals.
During retail hours, the ASM is a front-line support for present clients and team members - from efficient check in/out and session flow to on-the-spot soft skills coaching. While not present on the studio floor, the ASM tracks and solves escalated customer issues, participates in strategy to improve performance, and helps in resource allocation.
This position serves as a stepping stone to a team member’s growth and development as a people and retail leader.
Top 5 Responsibilities
- Support in strategy and execution of strategy toward achieving revenue and retail goals
- Interact with customers to contribute to an amazing experience
- Recruit, train, and develop the studio team
- Aid in creating the schedule and approving time cards
- Solve issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc) and take action for prevention
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with weekly inventory
- Ensure the studio is organized and presentable in all areas
- Confirm opening and closing procedures are properly completed daily
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pass a satisfactory background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Available to work weekend hours during busy season
- Flexible, with a team player mentality; Willingness to collaborate with colleagues on ideas and initiatives
- Professional demeanor at all times with both customers and team members
- Able to read and write in English
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and team members
- Able to prioritize tasks
- Able to lead, supervise, and/or manage team members
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Extended periods of viewing computer screens
- Significant noise and other potential sensory stimulants (i.e., busy retail environment with camera flashes, music, and sometimes crowded areas)
- Able to move up to 20 lbs
- Able to bend/stoop
