Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Regular, ongoing position within the University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletics Department.

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department provides student-athletes opportunities to reach their maximum potential in academics, athletics, and personal development. The department employs approximately 290 staff and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually, competing at the collegiate level within the Big Ten Conference and NCAA.
About the Role
Responsible for the strength and conditioning of assigned sports under the Director of Performance and Sport Science. Develop and implement individualized conditioning, strength, speed, and flexibility programs for student-athletes while advancing training methods and professional development. Uphold the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, adhering to department policies and NCAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute strength and conditioning programs tailored to student-athletes.
- Incorporate conditioning, strength, speed, and flexibility training into athlete development.
- Stay current with advancements in training methods and professional development.
- Promote and adhere to department policies, NCAA rules, and university regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science, physical education, or a related field, with a focus on elite athlete preparation.
- Current National Strength and Conditioning Association certification (CSCS) or SCCC.
- Three years of full-time experience as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate or professional level.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain UO Driver's Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in exercise science or a related field.
- Experience using sports performance technology to inform program design.
- Experience with rotational and field-based sports in a Division I, Power-4 conference.
