About the Role
Quincy University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a representative of the University, promoting Quincy University's mission, image, and goals to colleagues, student-athletes, and the community.
- Assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for Quincy University student-athletes.
- Assist with scheduling team strength and conditioning sessions.
- Help maintain and organize the athletic weight room and ensure the proper upkeep of strength and conditioning equipment.
- Assist in monitoring and enforcing safety procedures within the weight room.
- Maintain required CPR and strength and conditioning certifications.
- Abide by the policies, regulations, and rules of the NCAA, the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and Quincy University, including the Quincy University Code of Ethics for Coaches.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Previous experience in strength and conditioning, preferably in a collegiate setting.
- CPR certification and appropriate strength and conditioning certification (or the ability to obtain certification within a specified period).
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student-athlete population.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
Pay
$32,000–$35,000
