As an Assistant Store Team Leader, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. You will support the Store Team Leader in running the day-to-day operations of the store, leading the team by example, and delivering exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity. Whether you’re welcoming a new puppy, jumping in to help a team member find the right solution for a pet parent, or partnering on ways to improve store performance, you play a key role in creating a fun, engaging, and pet-centric environment where both pets and people thrive. What You’ll Do Support and lead your team by example, delivering exceptional, neighborly serviceJump in to greet neighbors and their pets and create a welcoming in-store experienceAssist customers in choosing the best products for their pets’ needsSupport store performance including sales, engagement, and overall productivityHelp analyze results and partner with leadership on plans to improve performanceAssist with hiring, onboarding, and developing a strong teamProvide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to team membersMaintain a clean, safe, and well-run store environment (including animal care and safety)Build relationships within the community and support local events and partnershipsHelp create a fun, positive culture where both pets and people feel at home You May Be a Great Fit If You Are a hands-on leader who leads by example Love working with people and their pets Are passionate about delivering great customer service Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Enjoy building relationships in your community Requirements and Responsibilities 2+ years of retail or customer-facing leadership experienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred (High School Diploma/GED required)Strong communication and leadership skillsBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar toolsAbility to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling)Ability to operate store equipment as neededReliable transportation and ability to work flexible schedulesMust be 18+ years old and able to meet hiring requirements set by the local franchise owner This location is independently owned and operated by a franchise owner.
