General Function / Summary

The Assistant Store Manager serves and educates customers on the product portfolio by presenting options and addressing issues. They handle customer inquiries, perform sales calls, and manage cash transactions. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and compliance skills.

Duties

• Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher management
• Answer telephone inquiries and perform outbound sales calls
• Interact with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing complaints
• Handle and count currency, cash, and coins
• Balance receipts and resolve discrepancies
• Process transactions accurately according to company policy
• Comply with federal and state regulations and company policies
• Complete compliance trainings and quarterly I Agree forms

Minimum Education And Experience Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 1+ year(s) of experience with sales, customer service, and/or cash handling preferred
• Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal/written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work autonomously
• Own personal reliable transportation compliant with company policy
• Valid Driver’s License and valid Automobile Insurance
• Ability and willingness to consistently live and embrace core values of accountable, inclusive, transparent, and focused

Physical Demands

• Call center/retail/office environment
• Extensive cash handling
• Extended phone usage
• Long periods of standing
• Extended viewing of computer screens and typing
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations

Travel / Attendance

• Must be able to travel to all stores within the assigned district with personal vehicle
• May be asked to travel to neighboring districts
• May require overnight travel
• Must work assigned shifts as scheduled
