Assistant Store Manager Tech Center

About the role

Batteries Plus is the nation's largest growing battery, light bulb and Phone Repair franchise, with over 700 retail store locations across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

• Device Repair / Technical Repair: cell phones, tablets, and other devices, including replacing screens, batteries, and other components on smartphones and tablets, rebuilding cordless drill batteries and other battery packs, and replacing cords, sockets and other parts on lamps and light fixtures
• Develop and promote Micro-Soldering capabilities
• Cut keys and reprogram key fob remotes
• Operations Management: work with the Store Manager to develop and implement the store's business plan, evaluate performance, and implement operational activities to control costs
• Maintain inventory data accuracy, assist with cycle count, rotate and stock inventory, and manage core recovery and core charge compliance
• Store Maintenance: maintain proper safety-related items and equipment, follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations, and oversee facility repair and maintenance issues
• Sales and Customer Service: demonstrate and coach a "customer-first" mentality, support all commercial and retail sales strategies and initiatives, and execute and coach selling and add-on strategies

Requirements

• Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent and 1 year of retail experience (Cell Phone Repair Experience a Plus)
• Passion for customer service and problem-solving, with the ability to close a sale
• Strong technical aptitude and a basic understanding of electronics with the ability to be trained in cell phone repair as well as program and cut keys
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and install automotive batteries
• Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas and understand and communicate directions using both oral and written means
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction as a resourceful, independent problem solver
• Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
