About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. They are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
  • Serves as a point of contact for guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Develops and trains staff to ensure they meet guest expectations and company standards.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Monitors and controls expenses, shrinkage, and inventory levels to optimize profitability.
  • Manages day-to-day operations to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
  • A flexible schedule is required.
  • Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior retail management experience is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in retail operations, preferably in a seasonal or temporary setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of retail management principles and practices.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $19.13 - $19.38 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
