About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding store operations and policies.
- Assists in the development and implementation of training programs for new and existing staff.
- Manages day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective store performance.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Supports the Store Manager in managing guest services and customer satisfaction.
- Oversees the maintenance of merchandise displays and inventory levels.
- Monitors and controls expenses, shrinkage, and other financial aspects of the store.
- Participates in store planning and budgeting processes.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- A flexible schedule is required.
- Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
- Prior retail management experience is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail operations and management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of store operations, including staffing, merchandising, and inventory management.

Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $18.00 - $18.25 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
