About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. They are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
- Safeguards Guest Services by establishing and maintaining Guest Services.
- Develops staff by training and coaching employees.
- Controls expenses by managing budgets and monitoring spending.
- Monitors shrinkage by identifying and addressing discrepancies in inventory.
- Maintains inventory control by organizing and managing stock levels.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- A flexible schedule is required.
- Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Prior retail management experience is required.
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of retail operations and procedures.

Pay
The hourly rate ranges from $17.25 - $17.50 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
