About the role
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. They support the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Guest Services
- Serve as a point of contact for customers and employees
- Support the Store Manager in operational tasks
- Develop staff and ensure their performance meets expectations
- Control expenses and manage shrinkage
- Manage merchandise and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
- Prior retail and/or management experience required
- Physical demands: In excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills

Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $14.75 - $15.00 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Hours may vary based on store needs and may include evenings and weekends.
