About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all areas, responsible for primary duties when the Store Manager is absent. They develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with vendors and customers
• Support and lead a team of associates to meet business objectives
• Ensure optimal customer experiences and build customer loyalty
• Oversee store operations, including budget management, expense control, sales growth, inventory management, and occasional cash handling
• Maintain store appearance and ensure safe and secure working conditions
• Adhere to company culture values and ethical standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
• Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives
• Effective communication skills
• Scheduling availability to meet business needs
• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about Sally Beauty products and services
• Understanding of retail operations and customer service
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job
