About the role
Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, selling fan and fashion-oriented headwear and apparel across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for producing sales gains through excellent customer service and adhering to visual guidelines, expense controls, and store policies.
Responsibilities
- Generate Sales
- Provide customer service to drive sales
- Meet or exceed Company Objectives in individual statistics
- Document and provide feedback on associate sales performance
- Maintain proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness
- Adhere to Dress Code Policy
- Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets
- Prepare store schedules for proper coverage and wage control
- Manage store inventory including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting products
- Follow LIDS Retail policies for documentation and record keeping
- Open and close the store according to procedures
- Support and adhere to LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Supervise Associates
- Participate in LIDS Training Programs
- Aid in recruiting and training store personnel
- Encourage compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Communicate with employees at all levels
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year relative experience
- Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication
- Ability to operate a computer and maneuver relative software programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing required for up to 100% of the work time
- Ability to work unsupervised
Qualifications
- Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience.
- Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
- PT positions are available for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
