Assistant Store Manager - prAna
About the role
prAna is looking for an energetic, people-focused Assistant Store Manager to help lead our retail team and bring our brand vision to life.
Responsibilities
- Support recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing, diverse team
- Lead daily store operations including scheduling, payroll support, reporting, and inventory
- Provide clear coaching and real-time feedback to strengthen team performance
- Take the lead when the Store Manager is away
- Ensure strong visual merchandising and uphold prAna brand standards
- Foster community engagement and represent prAna at select offsite events
- Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and teammates
Requirements
- 2–3 years of retail leadership experience (visual merchandising a plus)
- Passion for customer service, sales, and outdoor-inspired lifestyles
- Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay
Hiring Range: $24.45 - $33.61 Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate’s capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
Schedule
Frequently in a more active environment (i.e., it requires the ability to constantly move about) that can be physical or strenuous in nature (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently use specialized equipment, may have exposure to dust and noise. Occasionally it requires the ability to work in place. Ability to communicate with others. Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
