About the role
The Assistant Store Manager acts as the Store Manager’s partner in the overall merchandising, sales and management within his or her assigned retail store. They are responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and rotating weekends & holidays.
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the merchandising of products.
- Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise throughout the retail store.
- Avoid stockouts and ensure adequate inventory in all areas.
- Assist customers with a full variety of needs including purchases, returns, special orders, complaints etc.
- Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of product needs and other product information throughout their assigned retail store.
- Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
- Delegate authority to managerial personnel as deemed appropriate.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of retail experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management.
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service best practices.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
Pay Range: $16.00-$17.00 depending on experience.
