Assistant Store Manager Full-Time Bethlehem

About the Role

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Store Manager and Operational Management for the successful operation of their designated store. They lead and manage associates across all departments, including grocery, perishables, check-out areas, returns, customer service, and receiving. The role also involves managing the receiving, unloading, distribution, and stocking of merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Store management and assist with all aspects of total store operations, including customer service, associate development, sales, profit, payroll, and productivity goals, and store standards.
• Supervise store operations and perform essential duties of the Store Manager in their absence.
• Manage, control, and track store payroll and budget, collaborating with management to meet sales, profit, payroll, and productivity goals; maintain and utilize payroll system for accurate inputs, adjustments, and projections.
• Assist with department scheduling and training.
• Oversee and lead the operational team, including department managers and associates.
• Ensure compliance with store programs and policies, as well as local, state, and federal food, labor, and safety regulations.
• Ensure the store is organized and ready for business, and that open/close procedures are followed.
• Ensure all daily inventory tasks are completed.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries on merchandise and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ensure accuracy of store signage, resets, and Planograms.
• Supervise and train staff.
• Coordinate the overall supervision of staff to ensure sales performance goals are met and procedures are followed accurately.
• Assist with store inventory to reduce shrinkage, maintain appropriate stock levels, and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory flow for the store.
• Forecast scheduling needs to meet customer demand and create work schedules.
• Delegate daily workload among associates to meet merchandising and visual presentation standards.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent.
• Minimum 3-4 years of prior Retail Management/Supervisor experience.
• Ability to regularly move and/or lift 50 lbs.
• Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
• Physical requirements: stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.

Pay

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per Year
