“Assistant Store Manager – Fifth Avenue, NYC”
About the role
The LEGO Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead and inspire a team in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role requires at least five years of management experience in a retail environment, experience with POS systems, labor scheduling, workforce management, recruitment, training, and performance management, and the ability to drive top line sales through effective floor leadership and people development.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate a positive team environment that promotes a safe and fun atmosphere
- Maintain merchandising standards to meet and exceed planned sales and Key Performance Indicators
- Recruit, coach and develop to ensure a productive and collaborative team
- Deliver inspirational retail experiences built on LEGO Brand Values
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to deliver results by prioritizing time and effort, going beyond goals set by others, and finding motivation in raising store performance to the maximum
Requirements
- At least five years of management experience in a retail environment
- Experience with the following Point of Sale systems
- Computer proficiency
- Labor Scheduling and Workforce Management
- People development
- Loss prevention and cash management
- Scheduling and payroll management
- Delivery of Employee training, facilitating meetings, and delivering feedback
- Ability to use voice amplifiers, headsets, ear pieces, and/or microphones
- Ability to drive top line sales through effective floor leadership and people development
- Ability to work nights and weekends with some working times occurring outside of the store at the store front
- Cash handling and inventory/sales auditing/point of sale automated systems
- Ensure stores goals are achieved through smart actions and strategic planning
- Elevate the guest experience through merchandise maintenance and visual merchandising
Qualifications
- Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Constantly lifting at least 40 lbs

Pay
The base salary for the position is $33.30 to $35.05. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance.
Schedule
Positions may require working nights and weekends with some working times occurring outside of the store at the store front.
