About the role
Cosmo Prof is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and effectively overseeing all store operations.
Responsibilities
Brands: Supervise and support the direction planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience that maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty in assigned stores. Ensure all brand standards are met such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
People: Engage, train, and develop your teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and build a strong network of external candidates to fill positions when required. Identify strengths and opportunities for each associate and address them through coaching or counseling. Hold team accountable to Company policies and expectations. Maintain positive associate relations by resolving concerns and keeping associates informed of relevant Company information. Build strong working relationships with Store Manager peers. Maintain consistent and timely communication with AM/DM. Foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Operations: Ensure execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Utilize digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing. Manage payroll hours to meet business needs and schedule appropriately. Ensure correct store opening and closing procedures. Timely and accurately follow through with Company directives, assignments, and projects.
Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure the store environment is safe at all times for associates and customers. Protect company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures related to shrink, damages, banking, etc. Analyze and utilize available reporting, tools, and technology. Ensure stores are compliant with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
Effectively communicate with team and management
Ability to work some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; lifting moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes
May be required to work in other stores from time to time
