Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager positions are integral to fulfilling Buckle's mission of providing the best shopping experience for guests. These roles require a combination of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks, as well as leadership and training responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide exceptional service.
• Answer questions about the store and merchandise, recommend products, and assist with purchases.
• Manage inventory, ensure accurate stock levels, and suggest improvements to the visual merchandising.
• Train and motivate new Teammates, ensuring they meet performance standards.
• Recruit and manage store staffing needs, including understanding pay and benefits.
• Execute sales goals, maintain a positive floor culture, and adhere to Loss Prevention guidelines.
• Use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) to achieve sales targets and provide showmanship opportunities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and a passion for customer service. Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems.

Pay

$21-$27/hr, with final offers based on various factors including skill set, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

Flexible schedules are offered, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the possibility of working during the day of or day after major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
