Assistant Store Manager - Bonus Eligible!

About the role

We want you to join our team as an Assistant Manager in a fast-paced, fun environment where you can create a career in management. This is a full-time position with flexible shift availability, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends at our Seattle location (852 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, Washington 98114).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with oversight of Stationstore operations, including hiring, supervising, and working with staff to accomplish daily tasks, bookkeeping, and merchandising.
• Maintain high standards and provide fast, friendly customer service.
• Ensure regular and predictable onsite attendance.
• Execute the food program to meet set standards.
• Lead by example, demonstrating urgency, patience, and leadership for staff.
• Lead a team of employees, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, delegation, follow-up, teaching, and motivating others.
• Plan, organize, and communicate ideas effectively.
• Handle cash, bookkeeping, and problem-solving.
• Advocate for and empathize with customers while ensuring safety and security.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

• Retail experience.
• Supervisor or management experience.
• Recruiting, hiring, and interviewing skills.
• Experience handling food.
• High School or College Degree(s).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes in a shift.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
• Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
• Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour per shift.
• Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination.
• May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.

Pay

Hiring range: $24.01 to $25.26 per hour.
