Assistant Store Manager - Automotive Paint & Supplies

Hyman’s Auto Supply, Specialty Paint Division, is an automotive paint, materials, and equipment distributor serving the Decatur, IL market, with additional locations in Springfield, Peoria, Chicago, Addison, and Mishawaka, IN. As a family-owned business with over 99 years of operation, we are expanding and seeking a talented individual to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer orders via phone and email.
• Process orders and order backordered material if needed.
• Assist customers with questions or concerns.
• Pull, check, and box local customer orders for delivery.
• Help stock or check in deliveries.
• Perform local deliveries.
• Balance end-of-day business transactions.
• Conduct inventory checks and rectification.
• Place purchase orders for needed products.
• Manage daily bank deposits.
• Assist the Store Manager in all day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in the Automotive Collision Industry (Manufacturer, Rep, Jobber, or Body Shop) preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Customer-facing role; customer service experience preferred.

Pay

$50,000–$60,000 yearly salary, based on experience.
