Job Summary
The assistant store manager assists the store manager in planning, directing, and controlling the operation of the store, supervising employees, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Aid in supervising the ordering of products to fill the store.
- Support sales plans and maximize sales.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for all hiring, firing, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions for all employees.
- Pass a drug test and pre-employment drug screen.
- Work a maximum 10-hour day.
- Possess good interpersonal skills, maturity, and leadership qualities.
- Read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Develop and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Be a self-starter.
- Travel to and from work.
- Give verbal and written instructions.
- Conduct meetings to communicate business results and direction to employees.
- Operate all equipment in the store.
- Balance store cash and program a cash register.
- Provide verbal and written direction to employees.
- Supervise, recruit, and train employees.
- Establish and administer rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older for duties requiring minimum age.
- Pass a drug test and pre-employment drug screen.
- Work a maximum 10-hour day.
