Position Overview
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for leading the store to deliver outstanding customer service, meet operational goals, and follow company policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain exemplary customer service within the store and build relationships with customers
- Establish a strong customer service culture within the store
- Aid the Store Manager in implementing strategies to meet store goals and objectives
- Aid the Store Manager in recruiting, developing, and motivating team members
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and supervise CSR activities in the absence of the Store Manager
- Analyze financial statements and trends to increase sales
- Resolve customer complaints for increased customer satisfaction
- Manage schedules, cash, and store audits
- Review Operations Bulletins, News communications, and training materials
- Help maintain a neat and clean store environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- A minimum of one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, and restaurant
- Ability, willingness, and confidence to engage with customers
- Strong desire to exceed company initiatives and inspire excellence in a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High-energy, collaborative management experience
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Able to work flexible hours, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- English fluency is required; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. with little assistance
- Must be able to work in restrictive spaces and maintain concentration in a busy environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Must manage several tasks at one time and handle frequent interruptions to meet the needs and requests of customers
