Assistant Store Manager
Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
About the role
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will lead the store team members in servicing customers. Responsibilities
- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom including team member execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.)
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.)
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training completion
- Assist in the hiring process including recruiting tasks, interviews, candidate evaluation, and selection collaboration
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks
- Ensure team members comply with company policies including work schedules, clocking in/out, and schedule changes
- Perform store opening/closing duties including day-end procedures, money/deposit verification, security procedures, and vehicle security
- Assist the store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Sales Specialist Training
- Assistant Manager Certification
- RSS Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Parts Professional Certification
- ASE Certification
Pay
$11.41 - $20.30 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
