Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in various aspects of store operations. Key duties include leading customer service efforts, supervising team members, managing the store during the Store Manager's absence, and assisting in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels and ensure adequate staffing during peak times.
• Aid in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
• Assist in the recruitment process by completing tasks, scheduling interviews, and evaluating candidates.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy and handle buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoice merchandise and ensure all special orders and outside purchases are handled according to procedure.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, securing the building, and managing deliveries.
• Maintain the store environment, including cleaning, repairs, and equipment upkeep.

Requirements

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional Certification (desired)
• ASE Certification (desired)
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish (highly desired)
