Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in various areas including sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. Key duties include leading the store team, supervising customer service levels, managing staffing during peak hours, assisting with hiring processes, and handling customer returns and exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service.
• Supervise customer service levels and execute customer service programs.
• Adequately staff the retail sales counter during peak business hours.
• Set and coach team members towards achieving their goals.
• Hire new team members by completing recruiting tasks and evaluating candidates.
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, money verification, deposit preparation, security checks, and vehicle locking.
• Maintain the store's building, parking lot, exterior signage, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.

Requirements

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification
• RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional Certification (Desired)
• ASE Certification (Desired)
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish (Highly Desired)
