Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) role at TitleMax Excelsior Springs, MO supports customers in meeting their financial needs while gaining hands-on experience in running a store. Key responsibilities include maximizing customer success, assessing financial transactions, managing accounts, and supporting staff.

Responsibilities

• Maximize customer success by offering financial services tailored to their needs.
• Audit and process loan/pawn applications, check cashing transactions, and ancillary products.
• Manage daily call campaigns to market services, build new business, and nurture customer relationships.
• Oversee account management and recovery processes, including collection calls.
• Support and coach Customer Service Representatives to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.
• Perform duties outside the office, such as on-site vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing activities.
• Work with business partners, obtain referrals, and participate in and host in-store and community events.
• Maintain office security, conduct opening and closing procedures, and manage vault and cash drawer.
• Conduct store audits, create reports, and compile financial data to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain and improve the store's appearance and cleanliness.
• Handle multiple tasks and challenges to meet individual and team performance standards.
• Conduct additional tasks as directed by leadership.
• Work a full-time schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications and Skills

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year’s experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
• At least 3 months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday (mileage compensated).
• The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing up to 90% of the time, moving up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls.

Nice to Haves

• Management experience in retail, convenience store, grocery, finance, service, or related industries.
• Experience in check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for certain locations.
