Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) role at TitleMax Jefferson City, MO supports real financial needs through customer-focused services. This role offers hands-on experience in store management, customer outreach, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Maximize customer success by offering financial services tailored to their needs.
- Assess and manage financial transactions, including loan/pawn applications, check cashing, and ancillary products.
- Complete daily call campaigns to market services, build new business, and nurture customer relationships.
- Oversee account management and recovery processes, including collection calls, while maintaining customer service.
- Maintain customer information in the point of sale (POS) system with accuracy and integrity.
- Support, coach, and develop Customer Service Representatives to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.
- Perform duties outside the office, such as on-site vehicle appraisals, store errands, and external marketing.
- Work to meet Company-set performance standards by leveraging partnerships, referrals, and in-store/community events.
- Conduct store audits, create reports, and compile financial data to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean and safe store environment, addressing basic needs and scheduling maintenance services.
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet individual and team performance standards.
- Conduct additional tasks as directed by leadership.
- Work a full-time schedule, including weekends.
Qualifications and Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year’s experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
- Minimum three months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
- Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle for use throughout the workday (mileage compensated).
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing up to 90% of the time, moving up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls.
- Management experience in retail, finance, or related industries is preferred.
- Experience in check cashing, document verification, and money order processing is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for certain locations.
