Assistant Store Manager
About the Role
Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and achieving critical metrics including safety, sales, parts & service growth, customer experience, and overall profitability. Lead the sales team to grow trailer and truck bed sales.

Responsibilities
- Drive store revenue by supervising the sales team to meet and exceed personal and team revenue, unit, and margin goals.
- Assist the Store Manager in driving total revenue, trailer sales, service revenue, parts revenue, and ancillary revenue, with special emphasis on trailer and truck bed sales.
- Lead the team to foster an environment of accountability for customer service, owning customer review results.
- Demonstrate customer focus, recommend problem resolution, and build customer brand loyalty through exemplary service.
- Reinforce company directives, policies, and procedures for inventory control, supply purchasing, labor, and other controllable expenses.
- Ensure a safe and secure store environment for employees, customers, and visitors by leading by example and enforcing safety policies.
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment, ensuring it is used as designed.
- Train employees on safety policies and practices.
- Maintain an ongoing analysis of trailer and truck bed inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Communicate inventory flow to staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Prior sales experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a retail or sales environment.
- 3-5 years of sales experience.
Work Environment
The work environment includes indoor and outdoor tasks with exposure to adverse conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, chemicals, and traffic hazards.
Physical Demands
- Ability to talk, hear, read, write, and communicate in English via telephone and in person.
- Read written instructions, parts lists, technical manuals, and diagrams.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, 10-key operation, telephone dialing, and handling objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasional handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl over uneven surfaces.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Regular operation of computers, cash registers, telephones, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, automobiles, tractors, forklifts, and other power equipment.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Saturday (except company holidays). 40 hours per week or more.
Travel
Regular local travel by vehicle. Limited overnight travel by vehicle or airplane, including occasional overnight stays, may be required.
