Job Summary

The Assistant Store Leader – Operations is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing inventory, scheduling, expenses, and store technology. They lead training, onboarding, and ongoing product knowledge for all associates, collaborating with store leadership to support operational execution, financial audits, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and delegate workload, ensuring execution of plans and strategies across the store and in assigned area.
  • Align with the management team on store business goals and the company mission, goals, and initiatives for all store associates.
  • Partner with the Store Leader to establish and communicate critical metrics and expectations within the store, including sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll/scheduling, and training.
  • Analyze reporting daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly, preparing information affecting sales, productivity, and budget to communicate at various levels.
  • Promote and drive sales, acting as the Leader on Duty (LOD), and communicate regularly with the management team on all aspects of sales, customer feedback/traffic, and associate training/performance.
  • Participate in weekly store walk-throughs with the management team and follow up as required.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to promote the customer experience and a strong sense of teamwork, working safely, effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all associates.
  • Coach, teach, train, recognize, and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent.
  • Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick, and efficient service by setting expectations and modeling excellent service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years customer service or retail leadership experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, computer systems, and tablet devices
