Assistant Store Leader, Operations
About the role
As the Assistant Store Leader – Operations, you drive efficient store operations and back-of-house excellence. Reporting to the Store Leader and partnering with the Assistant Store Leader – Visual, you oversee daily operations including receiving, inventory, fulfillment, and operational standards to ensure a seamless customer experience. You manage inventory, scheduling, expenses, and store technology, while leading training, onboarding, and ongoing product knowledge for all associates. Collaborating with store leadership, you support operational execution, financial audits, and continuous improvement, mentoring your team to deliver consistent service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and delegate workload in collaboration with the Store Leader, ensuring execution of plans and strategies across the store and in assigned areas.
- Align with the management team on store business goals, company mission, and initiatives, communicating these to all store associates.
- Partner with the Store Leader to establish and communicate critical metrics and expectations, including sales, visual standards, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll/scheduling, and training.
- Analyze reporting daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly, preparing information on sales, productivity, and budget for communication to area, region, or national levels.
- Drive sales as they pertain to your position and act as the Leader on Duty (LOD).
- Communicate regularly with the management team regarding sales, customer feedback, traffic, and associate training/performance.
- Participate in weekly store walk-throughs with the management team and follow up as required.
- Collaborate with direct reports to promote the customer experience and a strong sense of teamwork, ensuring safe, effective, respectful, and efficient work among all associates.
- Coach, teach, train, recognize, and manage performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a talent bench.
- Ensure all customers receive gracious, quick, and efficient service. Set expectations and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and the company.

- 2+ years of customer service or retail leadership experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, computer systems, and tablet devices.
Schedule
Full-time role requiring open availability to work flexible hours on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
