Assistant Store Leader

In this position you will interact directly with customers, work alongside technicians and service staff to identify mechanical/maintenance concerns, write estimates, advise customers on tire/automotive service purchases, handle sales and clerical transactions, direct work‑order flow in the service bays, ensure shop procedures are followed and promise times are met, and assume additional responsibilities in the absence of the store manager.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the service counter
• Work with technicians and general service staff to identify mechanical/maintenance problems
• Write estimates based on identified concerns
• Address customer concerns and advise them through tire/automotive service purchases
• Conduct general sales procedures and clerical transactions
• Direct work‑order flow in the service bays
• Ensure shop procedures are followed consistently and promise times are met
• Perform additional duties as needed in the absence of the store manager

Requirements

• Previous sales experience in an automotive service shop environment is strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Proven track record of customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, kneel, and crawl to inspect tires and equipment
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, internet, and software navigation
• Current valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to work a full shift, arrive on time, and adhere to the required schedule (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Pay

Competitive pay up to $25/hour based on experience; hourly wage range $18‑$25.
