About the role
The Assistant Manager will assist the Station Manager in managing the inspection station in Annapolis, Maryland, adhering to the company's technical and financial objectives. They will share accountability for all station operations, including troubleshooting, cash handling, and scheduling rest and meal periods. In the absence of the Station Manager, they will assume their responsibilities. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for ensuring good public relations, customer and employee safety, and protecting the facility during opening and closing times.
Responsibilities
- Assists in managing the inspection station
- Shares accountability for all station operations
- Troubleshoots issues
- Cash handling
- Scheduling rest and meal periods
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Station Manager in their absence
- Ensures good public relations between the Company, employees, and the community
- Aids in opening and closing the facility
- Ensures the safety and protection of customers and employees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Valid driver's license
Qualifications
- Experience in vehicle emissions testing
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to vehicle emissions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Schedule
Flex hours, Monday-Saturday, 40 hours per week, daytime hours
