About the role
North Park University is seeking a part-time Assistant Softball Coach for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists the head coach with the daily operations of the softball program at North Park University.
- Analyzes performance and instructs athletes in softball techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletics competition.
- Affixes with NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.
- Ensures a commitment to the academic success of softball student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
- Builds and sustains positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
- Helps manage equipment usage.
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Head Softball Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Coaching or playing experience is required.
- Applicant must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends).
- Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
- Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Possesses a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park University's mission of Christian Higher education.
Salary
$5,000 Stipend
