Assistant Softball Coach, JV

Season: March 10, 2027 – June 15, 2027

Responsibilities

• Assist the varsity head coach with all aspects of the Spring Lake Park Softball Program, including but not limited to:
  • Setting up practices, games, and schedules
  • Supervision of athletes at practices and games
  • Care and maintenance of program equipment
  • Arranging team transportation
  • Working with booster club and regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall program
• Adjust work schedule for practices and games as needed

Requirements

• Strong background in college, high school, and/or youth softball competition as a player and/or coach
• Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities
• Leadership skills including organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution
• Ability to work effectively with student athletes, parents, staff, and community

Preferences

• BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate OR equivalent
• Previous experience working with high school-age students
• Previous experience as a player and/or coach

Pay

$4,130 stipend (may be pro-rated based on FTE of assignment)
